485 UPDATE: Case Sent to FBI even before FP notice... Is it Unusual?
My RD is July 2007 at CSC. In Oct 2007 the case was transferred to TSC.
I have still NOT received my FP notice. I got the AP. I went to Infopass appointment to check on FP.
The immigration officer checked and told that my wife and my cases was sent to FBI immediately after receipt. I dont know why they will do that. I do not have any criminal record anywhere.
Anyways he said he cant do anything about this and we just need to wait. It is already 6 months since it has been sent but we were told that FBI has lot of workload.
Please advice
Q1. Does it make sense to send my case of FBI without even doing my finger printing ? How to they ascertain my identity without FP?
Q2. I was planning to go to Canada to stamp my H1b in couple months. Is it risky now to do that?
