do my fingerprints expire if I've been waiting for interview too long?

I can't remember where I read about it... but I think somebody said fingerprints(done by USCIS) expire after a certain number of months.

Since my interview date is about 16 months from my priority date, will I run into any troubles? (isn't 16 months normal for a lot of folks here?)

Keep in mind that your finger prints expire 15 months from the time you get your first set of finger prints, not from your PD. Mine expired after 15 months and I was called again and I went thru second set of FP. Hope that answers your question.
