Anyone in that situuation

I called USCIS about my I-485 filed on june 2007 because I realise the processings time is june 05/2007 for TSC. I asked them when I'm gonna received a notice to get my biometrics done and the answer was: they will process your case in 245 days when they get close you will receive a notice. Please welcome any idea from the forum.

You need to wait.
It hasnt been even 1 year yet.
USCIS will send you a request for biometrics right before they start processing your case
 
That's true Barezi has to be patient. But It's been more than 7 months without Biometric, it is odd to me, because usually Biometric is received within 15 days of filing, unless USCIS changed its traditional way of processing as they always do. Something is not right.
Make info pass and let them know, that it has been 7 months with no Bio appointment.

Not really. Most of my famlily and cases that I see at work are requested for biometrics within a few months before their cases are approved. Some other get the biometric request within 3 months of filing and some other within 3 months of approval.. so it varies.
 
you can go to any nearest Application support center to do the biometrics as soon as possbile. Don't wait for the uscis to mail you a biometrics letter. im a example. I never received one, even though i called uscis and certified mail them over 10 times. uscis sent me a denied letter after all.

On what basis can someone get the biometrics done? Doesn't the USCIS need to schedule an appointment first? I didn't know that an applicant can go and get the biometrics done without an "order" from the USCIS.

At least here in DC you will need an appointment letter, you can't just walk in and say that you are coming for your biometrics, you will be wasting your time,they won't do it.

Let me make it clear guys.I had my biometrics done on 02/05/06 before my asylum approval on 06/16/06.Then on June 2007, when I filed my I-485, my last biometrics were not expired yet. So I called the TSC to know about and the IO told me my biometrics were just expired I have to wait, your case will be process in 245 days , when they get close you'll receive a notice. Right now the processings time frame for TSC is june 11, 2007. So more time is necessary.

i think it all depend on where you live. im from ny. here, they let me do it without a letter. wish you good luck.
