My friend who lives in Boston got help from the Irish immigration center for free. She is not Irish and she told me they will help you regardless your nationality. She was going to be charged by a lawyer $5,000, instead she did it for free. All you have to do is give a small donation. My friend donated $100
I just wanted to pass this information along.:)

Always good to have another option. Of course, most people have no need of a lawyer for basic citizenship or GC applications. (I define "basic" as someone who has no contentious convictions or difficult immigration history.)

$5000 lawyer fees for what? I am assuming since it is posted on the citizenship forum, it is related to some complex naturalization case? Or is it something else?

The lawyers charge between $2,500 and $5,000 to file a lawsuit in the case of the name check delay. Also, I know for fact they charge that amount for obtaining green card through work that's the case of my friend. So it's not unusual to see that amount. I myself paid $2,500 for the lawsuit and I was told by my lawyer that she normally charges $5,000 but since I was referred to her by a friend of hers she charged me only half of the fee! However, as boatbod said it maybe it's less or not necessary for basic citizenship.
