okay, to make a long story short, I was approved and I also got stamped.
I dont have much details because they only asked one single question and after that I was told that he will approve my case. This was in Garden City for 8 am and I arrived there ten minutes before 7. Therefore i was already inside waiting to be called before 8 o clock. I was worried that they would not have seen me before the time but I was out of there before an hour incuding the time waiting for the stamp.

I got a very young black guy with dread in his 20's and all he asked was how we met and the answer was a funny one, so he laughed and keep making fun of it. He did not even asked for id or even the questions from the I 485 form. I had only one question and then he took my ead. That was it guys.

I went downstairs and wait for the stamp and alot of persons looked very dissappointing. I even saw someone crying on the phone This was a mix race couple with a big age difference.

I thank god and all you members on this forum.:D:D:D:D

Confratulationsss!!! Enjoy it!!!, I had the I-130 interview a week ago, and the officer ask us the same questions as he did to you. Then that was it!.

Congratulations!!! Did you celebrates already or are awaiting for the evening mardigras.....:D

Enjoy...no need to be stressed about a GC anymore, so when are going home in Alabama? :p

thank you everyone. I appreciate the comments. I cannot believe all the time I invest in getting everything and they did not even asked for nothing except the ead. I am so happy that I dont know how to act. It was almost as if I went in their with a baby and also pregnant so no need to look for any further evidence.

That he did as soon as we get in. I am sorry for forgetting that, I was a little excited when I wrote this.:):)

I got the feeling the officer was new... but then, he could not approve without his supervisor if he was "too new"... either way congratulations!

I overstayed for over five years fro the date of my I 94 and I worked before as well but off the books. My lawyer did my paper work and messed up because she got my stuff in July and she only send the I 130 Iin JULY when I wanted to be send together. Therefore, I had the I 130 approved in November 2007 and the other paper work was sent in September. I got my ead in December.

I was married to my husband who is a US citizen. Other than that I dont think I had any issues ith my case and that is why I went to the interview w/o a lawyer although she was coming with no additional fees.:)

I was at the infopass last week and the lady asked me if I had interview done. she said if I have interview done, then the only thing you can do is to go home and wait for 6months. they don't seem to serve people who have interview done in the past 6 monhts.

Please let me know how it goes because i need to visit our USCIS friends quite often too to straighten out my case.
