Hello Friends
I have a question for you all

My I140 Has been approved
My I485 has been pending for more than 6 month
Im an E3B category labor filed in 07

I have not applied for an EAD

2) is it still to late to apply since my I485 is pending more than month
3) im on my First H1B extention how will this affect my GC if i changed Jobs (With Keeping the Same Tasks and title like my old job )
i mean can i change jobs with H1B or do i need the EAD to do it,
1) what is the advantage of getting the EAD and how long does it take to get it

thanks Alot for your help

You can apply for EAD whenever you want as long as your I-485 is pending

You can change jobs with H1 transfer. To be eligible to continue your GC journey job should be permanent and same or similar.

The advantage of getting EAD is that it's easier to get job. Disadvantage - it's your headache to renew EAD in time. USCIS suppose to issue EAD in 3 month but in current situation I'm afraid it could take more (4-6 mo - who knows).
Hope it helps.

One more question

Is it better to Go with the Ead than H1B, what i mean is, Isnt it better to try to preserve the H1B years since they only give you 7 right now, I'm in my 4th year , i know you can add a year after the 7 and you can keep doing it, but wont it be safer to work with the EAD and renew and try to preserve the H1B years

what do you guys thinks about that

It's safer to work on H1, you have non-immigrant status you can fall back any time. It's good to have EAD as a backup. If something happens and you couldn't find job on H1 - you can use EAD.

I have the same situation. I wonder how to do H1B transfer? It's like applying for a new H1B or just use the current one but change the company name?

Thanks a lot
