Partial Approval::Card Production Ordered for Derivative Only

Registered Users (C)
Hello all-
I got partial good news this morning. I received the following email 1 hour ago for SPOUSE application(derivative) ONLY. No LUD/email on my application yet.

Couple of questions for the members: Is this normal to receive email only for derivative application? Does anyone have similar experience of receiving update email for spouse only? Should I be concerned?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I know. Employer gave me a sub labor in 2004 after a couple of my own LC petitions were stuck in the May 2001 hump (damn illegals!). But such is my luck I still got stuck in NC for nearly 4 years.

Let's see what more twists this soap opera has in store for me:rolleyes: I have to see it to believe it.

There seems to be some trend where everything seems to be clear on primary case..they do tend to approve derivative case before primary. Why that happens, the only possible explanation is your cases might got separated and landed with two different officers.

My spouse (derivative) also got approved in July '07.. I am still waiting. When I call they say my file is with the officer for review..

Same with me but we got email for my wifes H1b which approved in June 2006.

duggils1,

you might have been approved already. we had kind of smilar thing. for our case, we only initially got one email for the primary. Then we called TSC immediately to ask about the derivative. We were told that the derivative's card production was also ordered. We finally received the email (and also web update) after 7-8 hrs. but after that all other updates (welcome notice and approval notice) and the cards/documents in the mail came together. So you might want to call TSC and find out what is going on with your case as theoretically primary should be approved before derivative.

You are right. I just got my magic email (see my other thread). Evidently, I missed the 10AM bus so I had to wait for the 1PM bus ;)
