My husband had applied for citizenship on Sep 2nd. He was finger printed on Dec 12th and now we have received a letter for interview on March 3rd, 2008 that says " Request for Applicant to Apear for Naturalization Initial Interview". I was wondering if this is the language that is used for all naturalization interview letters or does it mean his name/background check has not been completed and there will be another interview? Also, our DO is Milwaukee, WI.

Thanks.

I think it is a generic title . Mine stays the same. see my signature below. I have read that everyone gets the same line os initial interview. nothing to worry about. What I am not sure whether is different or not is the list of requested docs. I was only requested green card, interview notice, passport and selective service registration proof. good luck!

Even if you were on student visa when you were between 18-26 you have to register for SS?
