Consular Processing from UK

Hi all,

I am expecting my I-140 to be approved soon (month or two). I ma currently in the UK meaning my I-485 will have to be via consular processing.

I have Indian passport but UK residency so should be eligible to apply from UK.

Any ideas on how long it will take for my I-485 to be approved.

You are filing CP, not I-485

Is your PD current?

About 6-8 months.

hi Zolt, thanks for your response and clarifying CP and I-485 are two diff things.

My PD is JAN 2003, where can i find if it's current or not. appreciate any links.

Also, should i be checking PD for India (cuz of indian passport) or for UK (cuz of residency).

As far as I know citizenship at birth matters.

Your PD does not look good unless you are in EB1. Cut off dates for India moved backward recently. NVC will receive but will not process your case until PD becomes current.
