Talked IO internal and external checks pending. Name check got cleared

I talked to IO today and he said my name check got cleared on sep 26th 2007 (pending from march 22nd 2005) . but he says that internal and external checks are not at done

my PD is Aug 2001 EB2.

what is internal and external checks?

Already I had one RFE(May 2007) regarding my EVL.

Name check is cleared I took infopass and called to find out if name check is cleared and both said it is cleared.

So internal check is not namecheck.

You should get approval soon. Internal checks are the checks which are IBS checks and fingure prints etc. no big deal.

If you call namecheck security check it does not matter: stuck anyway.
Proposed: take infopass.

My guess it that before they approve the case, they check everything related to your case, such as job, salary, legal status, company and etc...that might be called as "internal or external checks" by the IOs.

uj, in your post you did not say "I took infopass", you said "I talk with IO". Good for you namecheck is cleared but all I am saying is using different names for checks does not make any difference. Last time I heard "internal and external checks" six months ago. I am where I have been and therefore am not seeing how any conclusions can be drawn.
