I-485 receipt lost in mail

Hello Everyone,

I didn't receive my I-485 receipt but received receipt for I-140, I-765 and my spouse I-485 receipt. I also received notice for finger prints. My finger print receipt mentions I-485 receipt number.
I moved to new address after filing and received all mails to new address as I requested forwarding service with USPS.

How can I get my I-485 receipt?
 
R u looking for the i485 receipt # or the physical receipt?

I believe u can get the receipt # by calling USCIS and giving them ur A# (it should be on ue I140 receipt). U can ask them ifthey can resent the 1485 receipt.

I know my receipt number but have not received physical receipt. I have received all other receipts but not for I-485. I got my receipt number from finger print appointment letter.

How important is to have physical form of I-485 receipt?
 
Not really important (I guess?). I read somewhere that the receipt was important when it came to travelling out of the country. Not anymore. You can travel without the I485 receipt.
 
Are you sure you got all govt mail forwarded to the new address? I just moved and the officer I spoke with said typically govt mail does not get forwarded.

Plz confirm.
 
In the original post from ANISA, USPS is mentioned not UPS. UPS I am aware will not fwd mail, but USPS does.

Just not sure if this mail will get forwarded or not since it is govt mail but sent by USPS.
