Hi All,
Coudn't post the details earlier but here they are. My Oath was November
9th at 9am. We went up the elevator at exactly 9am. After we were all there, they called each side of the room up to check their certificate for corrections. If you have gotten married, divorced or left the country they wanted you to bring proof of divorce or marriage. Mine was marriage, so i gave that to them. They made a copy of that for the record. Thay also corrected my status from single to married after the ceremony. It was actually too late to change my last name. Anyway, all of that was done after the ceremony. After everyone had checked in and made necessary corrections. Oh, also, if you left the country, they wanted you to write down the dates you left and returned next to the question have you visited any other coutnry since interview. Then we all said oath, so on and so on and it was done. I ended up waiting for about 35 minutes for my corrected Certificate but that was no problem. Glad it was over.
After i was finished, i went to the bank to change my last name to married name. Well, the banker that i spoke to has been waiting over a year for citizenship because she is stuck in name check. Two other employees in the bank were also waiting. One for four years, the other for two. It was as if God had put me in a position to help others. I gave her my business card, told her about this site and told her if they need any help, i would be willing to help them with any questions that i felt i could answer. I told her to tell her friend that has been wiating for for four years to consider filing a lawsuit but i told them to made sure they check this website out. I felt so sad for them but it made me realize that there are others that are suffering far worse than I am. That's why I will always return to this board to help out any way i can. I wish you all good luck. Now i have started the process of getting my husband here.
