Just called NSC -Waiting for Visas from State Dept for this year

Hi Guys,

I just called NSC IO. She asked me A# and said everything (security checks) looks good, waiting for visas from State Dept.
When i asked the ETA, she said i don't know, you can check http://travel.state.gov website.
Can anybody know, how to get this information from this web site.

Did you ask the IO about your case being with any officer for review or in staging area or to be adjudicated?

RFE is regarding Employer verification letter for change of job location. Even though we mentioned "Can work in any location" in Labor and I-140, still they sent RFE regarding the same. My attorney replied with EVL along with copy of Labor.

next time when you plan to speak to IO please ask theses questions about your pending I-485

She meant 'Visa number availability'

I think what she meant in your case is that you need to wait until visa number is available for your priority date and category.
This information is located on the department of state site. .
 
How can you guys be so lucky to get to talk to someone at USCIS? I have been trying to call the 800 number to see if I can talk to someone, but I only get the automated answer. I received receipt notice for both me and my wife on my I-485 but each time I enter the numbers on the case status check on line, I got a message saying that the number is invalid. Same message on the hotline....has anybody encountered this problem in the past? Please advise.

Also can somebody send the phone number where they manage to communicate to someone at USCIS?
