How long is the wait in Newark after priority date current

Hi Folks,

Any body interviewed at Newark office and was held for priority date? See my details below. My priority date becomes current in Sept. I was so excited and immediately booked an infopass. But the IIO simply told me to wait. Now is almost the end of the month, I am getting frustrated. How long is the wait usually at Newark office? Any similar experience? Should I book another infopass?

Please stay on top of this folks , In my case interview was done on May2005 and did not approved because of PD was not current , in June 2007 became current and they approved my case got a approval notice and in that asked me to cometo office to get passport stamped . When I went there they said they can stamp my passport because security check is being done by vermount center (they said we already sent file to main office to prepare GC),I have checked with them and they said there is no file came here . At that time when went there IO told me to wait 3 months which are going to be complete on OCT 19th , I will see Senetor office once I see them after above date .

Hi Shailesh,

I agree the infopass people at Newark are not that nice. But what do you mean by security check? Why does that matter? Maybe it's just their excuse. Maybe you should check with them sooner than 3 months, I don't think those timeline mean anything, just something they made up.

In your case, how long does it take for you to get the approval letter after PD is current? Did you do anything to push them? Thanks!
