I received the long awaited green card in the mail today. :)

Thank you all for your two cents worth, your support & encouragement.
I will definitely recommend this site to everyone I know who is in the same predicament as we all are.

And to all of you who are still waiting, remember everything happens "In the Lord's perfect time".

October 2007 Visa Bulletin and EB-3 Retrogession for July 2007 Filers

Can anybody tell me if the October 2007 Visa Bulletin (EB-3 Retrogession) affect the July filers? My lawyer told me that they are going to "shelf" my I-485 application unless the date is current. But I already received the FP notice. Can anybody answer please?

lawyer is correct

if uscis sticks to the dates in the visa bull... and you are affected by retrogression, you will not get an approval till date is current. Even after your date is current, you have to hope you get it :-)
