Hi.
If you leave US while AP is pending and if it gets approved before returning back, can you use it to enter into US at a port of entry?
Thanks!

There is a question in the AP application that asks you if you want it (AP) to be sent to a consulate abroad.

What if you didn't fill that in? I know a series of posts say that you abandon your 765 if you leave while it is pending... but then again a series of posts say it is a matter of chance.

The "sent to consulate abroad" is not meant for AOS applicants but for emergency or other situations where you're trying to get a foreigner (relative) into the US without having to apply for a visa.

Generally, the AP must be "approved" before you depart the US. This means that you shouldn't travel before it is "approved".
