Tracking NSC Interview for May-June-July PD

Hi everyone

It is clear by now that the huge deluge of applications of all types have slowed considerably the process for N400 applications at NSC. As you are aware that the Notice of Action, Finger Printing notice and completing the file for background checks are done at NSC and then the local offices schedule based on availability of interviewing immigration officers. So for all practical purposes the time line until the interview or qued for interview is the same for all local offices. I thought it would be best if we can track the interview stage for those who have PDs in May-June-July. Due to the large number of applications we can not look at the past and make assumptions. For those who filed in early May the process started slowing and the outcome for those who filed in July is even worse. So waiting out or tracking individual service center threads like Chicago, Detroit, St. Paul etc until the interview date does not make sense.

So please post any developments regarding your case here for the benefit of all. e.g,

PD 15 June - receivied FP notice
PD 10 July - receivied NOA letter
PD 15 May - receivied interview notice
PD 20 May - case dissapeared from on-line (means case is qued for interview).

PD - 6/2/2007
Infopass - 8/1/2007
was informed that my background is clear and I a m in queue for the interview.

Not heard anything yet, neitehr has the case status in USCIS website changed.
Does anyone one know, how long it takes to move from the queue to actually receiving an interview letter in chicago.

I think people with PD earlier than 10th April have got interview in Chicago. But NSC has slowed down considerably in the last several weeks. I guess you may need to wait at least a month. However now that you have confirmation that your security checks are complete, you should just relax and wait.

Did you have to push to get the status of your security check at the infopass? Some people had reported that there were told we don't give out that information. Most however were told the status.

At the infopass, the officer provided me the requested information, she was very nice and did not need to push for any information. The only information she was not able to provide me is the time line for the interview queue.

I have been a long time reader, did not write before.

FP completed 6/23/07
IL - waiting ?????
