DV 2008 winner >> L1 visa (Intracompany transferee)

I am DV2008 winner from Asia. I just got a job offer from XYZ company in New York. I am now working for a different company, but had worked for XYZ branch in my home country between 2002 and 2006. The HR from New York said that they can bring me to the US with L1 visa because I had worked for their branch in the past three years and it seems like they will go with that instead of H1.

Since I have submitted DS122 and DS230 meaning that I have intention to immigrate, I was wondering how big of a chance that my application for L1 visa will get rejected as L type visa is for non-immigrant worker.

Should I notify the HR in New York about my current status as a DV winner?
 
You should notify HR as soon as possible so they can complete the application form correctly when answering the question if you ever filed for an immigrant visa.

Other than that, under the "Dual Intent Doctrine", E, H-1 and L category visa holders are allowed to remain nonimmigrants while simultaneously pursuing permanent resident status. So, no need to worry.

Hi, am also a DV 2008 winer, i will like to know the next step after posting your forms back to them. My NL No is 12xx,am from Nigeria.

Thank you bahadur007, will inform the company's lawyer about my DV status and see what they say.
