Called TSC IO today 8/15/07

She took my receipt number and name, address and last 4 digits of ssn.

TSC IO Answer=>All looks clear, waiting for visa number.

that's all... I told her tnx n have a nice day..

May be we have to wait for Sept 1st and 2nd week for TSC approvals turn...

With the crazy USCIS activity yesterday, I had to call them this morning. Since I am visiting the west coast for some work, I called from the hotel line at 7:30 am using POJ. Instead of hearing "Welcome to TSC.." I heard:
"To provide assistance, we need to connect you with a CSR. These agents are on duty 8 am - 6 pm M-F, pleaes call back during these hours."
Tried again, got the same message.

Then called using my cellphone with an east coast number, and POJ worked (am still on hold with TSC). To confirm, I tried calling from the hotel phone again and got the "call back during..." message.

So I guess they do filter by where you're calling from...
 
Thats true, I have observed this so many time. They decide by the area code.

It's a 1-800 number, so it can have rules to determine when and from where to accept calls, and how to redirect calls that it should not accept, etc. Also, the NCSC itself is a set of 6 different call centers, so it's possible that east coast callers get routed to some of the centers that open earlier than other centers that cater to west coast callers.
 
I got the same answer on Friday. We did see some approvals after that. Watch for your LUD today. Let us see if that changes. It did for me.
