I-485 package questions

Hi Guys, I really got a lot of support through this forum while filing my I-140, now that I am ready to file 485 , I need some more help.

1). As I have been advised my many that I should go ahead and file 485 against my 2 pending 140s ( NIW @ NSC and EB1-EA @ TSC). In case it is required to link 485 to one of the pending petitions at the time of filing, I am thinking of linking it with my NIW application which is pending at Nebraska. I am thinking as my NIW RD date is 15 NOV 2006 and Nebraska is kind of slower in processing compared to TSC where my EB1-EA is pending since 2 March 2007, it will give me some addtional time in case of adverse descision on my EB1-EA application. Otherwise (if EB1 is approved earlier), I will ask USCIS to relink my 485 to EB1-140 later. Do u think this strategy will work?

2). Whcih center should I submit my application since my NIW is originally filed at NSC. can i just file it at TSC directly. BTW I reside in TEXAS so I come under the juridiction of TSC.

3). Do I need to submit 2 separate cheques for my 485 & fingerprinting fees and another two for my wife or one cheque covering the total amounts is good?

4). The checks should be attached separately to individual application ( for me & my wife) or just put them on the top of everything while th epackage is still subdivided into two sections?

Thanks

I used money orders. It eliminates the time needed for the checks to clear at the bank and is thereore worth the small fee added by USPS.

As each form should be accompanied by the payment of its fee, I had one payment for each of the forms for me (I-485, including the FP fee, I-131, and I-765), and same thing for my spouse. I am sure a single payment for everything is likely to work, but I found easier to just follow the instructions and also to provide a self contained package for each of these forms. It is a bit like the cover letter: better to have one for each of the forms, with one introducing the whole package.

Can one file the I-131 at a later time after filing I-140 and I-485? Does it change anything as opposed to filing with I-485.
Thanks

It can be done but I think lower fees will apply if file by 17.

What about filing 131 and 765 online and then send it with i485?

I have not checked I-131 form for submission in the I-140 that i have e-filed. If i send the I-131 form and fees along with all the other documents i am sending, will USCIS still accept it. By the way what are the old fees (USCIS website is showing the new fees of $300 now).
Thanks all in advance
Santosh
