Does anyone know where we can get an Indian Passport Notarzied? I did check with my banks but they said that they are not authorized to do so?

Thanks in advance.

I presume you need to notarize a copy of the passport. Take the original and copy to a Notary Public. You can find them in most UPS (not USPS) Stores. Fees: $10

In California, documents cannot be notarized. Notary can notarize signatures only. (If you are not in CA, check local rules).

What you can do is write a letter addressed to the Consulate General (if thata what you are dealing with) stating details of your passport (number, place of issue, issue date, expiry date, name etc.) and that attached is a true copy of your passport. Mention that the original is in your possession. Sign at the botton and get these signatures notarized. Then make a copy of the passport, staple the copy to this letter and send to the Condulate.

Notarize a signed statement from yourself affirming copy of original

I am from California. On a number of occasions, I have obtained notary signatures on a form that basically states that the attached copy is a true copy of an original document. I as custodian of the original document sign the form in front of a notary who verifies my ID, signs, and then keeps records of the event.

Depending on the notary, the form may be readily available, or alternately, you can type out a letter stating "To Whom It May Concern" etc.

I hope this helps. And the standard disclaimer: I am no lawyer, so I might not be knowing all the legal requirements.
