Called NSC on 07/16 morning

I called them this morning and IO told me that my file has been assigned to an officer. What does this mean? Can anyone tell me?

Your file is with the officer. they may review it any time to take a decision.

That mostly means you will be getting a decision soon, what is your PD and RD? Are you a CSC to NSC case?

I think you should hear about your approval in 2 weeks.

Mine is a NIW case filed in Sept 2005. PD is also same. it is a xfr case from CSC to NSC.

hopeofgc, It may not be true..atleast not in my case...my case was assigned to the officer 9 days ago but nothing heard so far

Generally, it would take 30 to 60 days to make a decision once it is assigned to officer. However, depending on the cases, some may get it sooner and for some it takes little longer.
