Biometrics appointment after receiving plastic card

I received an appointment notice one week after my plastic card arrived to appear for Biometrics at local ASC with a warning that my case will be considered to be abandoned if I failed to appear - will the surprises at NSC ever end:confused:

Can you please post your details, Did your attorney get your fp notice too, Thought NSC is clearing up the mess:mad:

Reason Iam asking I have to move to a different location

My GC got approved on Jun 18th. Received Welcome notice & plastic card last wednesday.

BUT NOW, I received Biometic appt notice scheduled for July 6th (Friday). :confused: Notice date of this biometric notice is on Jun 21st (3 days after approval of its i485 application:confused: )

It seems many people got similar notices. Did any one go to ASC for biometric AFTER underlying I485 approval. What was the outcome.

Nope, it was valid at the time of approval. Infact it should be valid till August. I had the last FP (ASC biometric) in Aug 2006.
 
Even I got biometrics appt after approval notice but before getting the plastic card. Spoke to attorney about this and he mentioned that it is getting common for people to get such notices after approval.

So just go and do it. I got welcome notice on June25th, had biometrics on June 27th, got approval notice via email on June 28th and got cards on July1st. So I am thinking that they just want to have it for records thats it.

Yes, Iam going to FP as scheduled.

Who knows, after FP, USCIS may issue a US-Passport (Citizenship) :D or would send an EAD card after GC approval:p
 
In the same boat...

I have LUD approved 6/22, Biometrics appt received on 6/28 and cards received on 6/29.
I called NSC on 6/29 morning and they said to ignore the Biometrics appt since the applcn is approved. I have the Biometrics appt for 7/19. Not sure what to do ??? I'll probably go...

It definitely sounds like an error - BUT I would still think it is best you go for the appt. as scheduled. Seeing the visa bulletin fiasco today, we can all understand what USCIS is capable of - I wouldn't want to give them any reason to look at my (approved) case the wrong way.
Why risk it ? Just go and be done with it.
 
I want to confirm, if all the FP notices is because of Pending EAD or AP, I have a pending EAD, Will USCIS deny because my I485 is aproved
 
Same case here. Card ordered on Jun 21st and at the same time FP notice dated June 21st was mailed to me to appear on July 6th.
Checked with the my attorney and he told to ignore it since I have already received the cards.

His notion was that If I had not received the cards it is better to go take the FP or else they might not generate the card.

Since I got the got the cards already, I'm putting USCIS on my ignore list (for a change). LOL.
