EAD expired,waiting for new EAD. H1 valid till DEC 2007(please help work issue!)

Hello All,

I am currently using my EAD and it will be expiring on 26th June,07 and i am waiting to get my renewal EAD card.(applied for renewal of EAD card on April 25,2007 Fingerprints done of May 31,2007...waiting for EAD)

I cannot continue to work with my company after 27th June,07.

My H-1B with my old company(before i got and used my current EAD) is valid till Dec 2007.

Can my current company transfer the H-1B visa and employ me on H-1B basis while i wait to get my EAD card ??

Hi,

I am on the same boat, my current ead expires on July 15. below is my timeline for ead renew.

04/26/2007 - Applied 2nd EAD online
05/01/2007 - LUD 2nd EAD
05/02/2007 - LUD 2nd EAD
05/11/2007 - Finger Print Notice via mail
05/23/2007 - Done with Finger Print
05/24/2007 - LUD 2nd EAD

No update after that and just worried about if i will get my renewed ead before July 15 or not as i am also not sure if i will be able to work back on H1 with different employer.

Keep me posted.....regarding update.

I filed for EAD renewal online for me on 4/24 and my wife on 4/26. Got an update that my wife's EAD card has been ordered for production. Just in time before it expires next month.

This is my first time i applied for EAD renew. want to know if we do get any email communication once our EAD renewal is approved or once they order card for production?

As after my FP there is only one LUD and no more email or no more movement after that.

You can register for email notifications on USCIS online case status and you will receive a CRIS email update when the card is ordered for production. It takes less than a week after that to get your card in the mail.
