My case got transferred again from TSC to VSC on June 4th per message below. This was after 2nd FP in the first week of May. Why an interview when others are getting approved without one ? Anyone in a similar boat ?

My case was transferred from VSC to TSC on 03/27. PD is Feb 2002 on EB2.
It has been 5+ years and no light at the end of the tunnel...

Yep, the path to 485 approval is so rocky...I hated it...the ones who escape these clutches are so lucky!!!
- RFE (may delay approval by 2-4 mos)...
- 485 Interview (may dealy by 1 mo or so)...
- NOID (I140 withdrawal)...

these days with Priority Date battle alone takes the biggest toll...

What I hate, si, if they really wanted to do all this inquiry on one's I485...why the heck, were they sitting on their asses for 3-5 years?...they could have done all these inquiries anytime - during this lengthy period!!!
BUT NO, they want to screw applicants....Mysterious are the ways of USCIS!

Pre-adjudication - why can't they do this during the 3-5 year of wait!!! They wait until the day the PD become current and then wake up and do all this shit! I hate USCIS! Luckily, I escaped this mess with 485 approval in May....

But all these possibilities were haunting me!!!

.

In my case I-485 interview took more than 10 months inspite of my monthly InfoPass follow-ups!
Had Dallas district office followed the 4 months processing time reported by other friends in this forum, I would have got my GC in early 2005. Now I am still here waiting for my GC!
There seem to be a general USCIS guideline: The older your PD/RD, the longer you have to wait!

no we did not do AC21

WHAT 10 MONTHS FOR THE INTERVIEW
ITHOUGHT
IT WILL TAKE A MONTH FOR INTERVIEW SCHEDULE

SHD I NEED TO TAKE INFOPASS TO ASK WHEN WILL MY INTERVIEW BE SCHEDULED?

PLEASE HELP

same thing here...485 got transferred to Philadelphia, PA office. Don't have clue why they transferred over there???.

shankrish and others any progress on your cases?

2001/2002 EB2 cases - Bad lot (or bad luck)

Sorry to hear that you also ended up with an interview. This is sure to add another 6-8 months to the process and we have to hope that the visa numbers don't retrogress in the meanwhile.

I called the service center and they refused to give me any useful details as to why my case got picked for interview. I have been with the same employer for 7 years and ever since the GC was filed. I have maintained legal status throughout and have done everything by the book. It is very frustrating that inspite of doing everything correctly, the end is not in sight.

I asked the officer who took my call how long it will take for VSC to schedule the interview and he said he can't tell and asked me to call after 60 days. I think the 60 days is just a standard operating procedure for any queries and cannot read too much from it. Am extremely frustrated by the whole process and have given up hopes of getting the GC in 2007.

From what I have seen, a number of EB2 cases filed in North East between Aug 2001 and June 2002 have taken much longer than normal for a) RFE/labor approval b) Name check and c) interviews for 485. I think this bunch of cases just got tagged for some reason - triggering detailed scrutiny at various stages. I can think of a few who were in this boat - RJNJ2002, babyluck, syed, shas123, assur. It is a pity that the cases that experienced delays at the labor stage are the ones that continue to experience further delays. Our cases have almost become like the traint that always gets stopped for the Acela to breeze by. Honestly, I really don't know what to do any more, except venting my frustration in this board.

Sorry if I rambled on - I do hope that you get your interview scheduled soon. Good luck.
