VISA Numbers available now ? Pending cases will be approved ?

Hello E'body,

Murthy.com says the INS released VISA numbers and they are available to the candidates whose priority date is upto June 2003 ..My priority date is August 2001....last time when i talked to Immigration Officer, she told me that they will make a decision on my application as soon as the visa numbers are available..So now do you guys think they will approve (atleast make a decision) my GC ?

I am planning to go to LA downtown office on June 1st , Friday....but want to get some details before i go there.....

Any advise is highly appreciated....

Not necessarily, once the dates are current, they will pull your file (not sure when) and review again based on the current state, and request additional info to verify current status since the case is pending for a while. And if you are lucky, and all the formalities is completed before the dates go back again, you might get a decision.

did u get the approval after u visited USCIS office in LA using your INFOPASS appt? or did you find the status online? or by mail?
 
I am seeing many approvals from Service Centers for people with PD prior to current visa bulletin date but haven't heard any from local office. My file is at Newark local office as I had interview in Oct 2005 and since then visa numbers were not available until June 2007. Many people at service centers got the approval within 3 months of filing I-485 but people like me at Local Office are waiting for ever....
Anybody heard of any approval from local office?
