FOIPA fee?

Does anyone know how much I should pay for a FOIPA request? Do I need to write a cover letter? At FBI website, it says "State how much you are willing to pay for duplication fees if any are assessed." What does that mean? I heard many people got "no record" reponse. What do they need to duplicate? Any one has experience of requesting FOIPA, please would you share with me?

I think the first 100 pages (and first "x" hours) are free ...
And the cost is not that much after that ....

Say you are willing to pay upto say $20 or $40 - that should cover it easy.

Thanks for your reply! Do you know what those 100 pages are about? From the posts I read before about FOIPA, I expected to only get a "No record" reponse. Is 100 pages response normal response? Thanks!
