Passport Renewal Urgent????

Hi!
My PD is 07/2002 EB3 Nebraska I-485 filled 07/2003 Next month PD current but my Passport is expiring on 10/05/2007 my question is.

1.Do I need to Renew Passport before my i-485 approval in case if approved in June as my PD will be current?

2.I should send passport for renewal right now? will be required after I-485 approval passport should be valid more then 6 month

3.Can I send passport after getting I-485 approved.

please advise ASAP???

You are very optimistic.

You can get your passport renewed now, it takes only 7 days or atmost 2 weeks.

send by fedex and request return by fedex.

No connection to your passport validity and 485 approval.

Just get a new PP before the current one expires - that's all.

ECR or ECNR stamp means in Pasport???

Do you have a document checklist to renew an indian passport ?

I guess for us it should be ECNR. Not sure if you have to provide additional documentation for this option

Generally If you have Bachelors or Higher Degree you get ECNR Stamp in Passport. Its relevent if you are visiting Neighbouring countries such as Pak, Nepal, Bhutan etc,. For US it doesnt matter, so dont worry
