I am planning to go to Europe this summer..Anyone tried embassy of greece in D.C...Are they easier than others? Which embassy gives you less hassles?

They have been super nice with me WANT.

I have applied twice for VISA and they usually require you to appear in person for an interview. I talked to one of ther officers and explained to him that I am a student and I work. For me to leave my job and drive hours is very expensive. They twice waived the requirement and issued the VISA in absence.

I don't have a greek passport but my parents are about to get it since my mother is greek.

I know other cases when they have been jerks to people. As a general rule, walk inside with a good attitude.Get your job done and wait till you get that US passport. No more bullcr@p from europeans after that.

Want,

Although I don't have any experience dealing with the Embassy of Greece in DC, I applied for a visa at the Consulate of Greece in NYC. They were very nice and no question asked. I received my visa in two weeks.
