where is my 485?

hi, guys,

I managed to get hold of an NSC immigration officer instead of the customer representative. The officer told me that my 485 might be at TSC. The last USCIS notice I got was my application was transfered to NSC from TSC on Sept.29 of 2006. The officer I talked this morning told me he was not sure where my 485 is. He said it might be transferred back to TSC. What do you think I should do at this point? Do you think my file was lost?

Does anyone know how to get hold of a TSC immigraion officer?

Hi

What is your recipt date and priority date

If you are past 30 days beyond your priority date call the 1 800 number and tell them you feel case is lost. Make sure you get put through to immigration officer and ask they do case status enquiry

Or book appointment with your Senator or Congressmans office, they can send an enquiry on your behalf. They have special sentate e-mail address and more likely to get reply quicker than you

Or book info pass and see immigration officer and explain

I tried for twice more this morning after I got hold of a NSC immigration officer. But I was directed to NSC twice. I don't know how I can successfully get hold of a TSC officer. What is POJ? Do you know?

Yes, my priority date was already beyond 30 days. I live in the south. I contacted our senator once. One woman working for me talked to me. And she was extremely rude! I don't want to contact her any more. I think she herself HATES immigrants. Do you think I should email the senator himself directly?

Here is POJ Method: Try this to every time sucessfully reach TSC. Dont do mistakes or blame me or else you will end up taking to 800# bozos.

I guess your case number is started with LIN. That's why you got redirected to NSC. You have to find a TSC case number to get redirected to TSC.

How to get NSC phone no.

Hi needurgenthelp,
How did you contact NSC immigration officer ? Which no did you call ?

My priority date has become current after June 2007.I-140 is approved, and I-485 had been filed on 12/20/2004.

I want to know the status of I-485. So need to know the right phone no. to reach immigration officer .

Try the POJ method posted by a few helpful others. I did not know it was called POJ method. I actually used the POJ method to get hold of one officer. But he left me only confusion. He said he did not know where my case is now.
You may try to get hold of one officer but most of them would be very rude. even not rude, not very helpful. If you want to know more acurate status information, you should go to infopass. I am too far from all the local offices. That is why I tried the uscis number trick.

I wonder -- why Thursdays are better days to call? I've seen how-to-POJ posted many times in the forums here, but that mention of Thursdays is probably new to me.
