How come TSC resubmitted Name Check 2 FBI

I called TSC today. The rep. told me that they resubmitted all the transferred cases for name check to FBI

Last time VSC submitted my name check was on September 10, 2003. Still pending ....

Can anyone else verify this info. ?

meaning TSC will take another couple of years to adjudicate all the transferred cases they got from VSC???. Scary...

Let's not give credibility to speculation...

In the past, I saw USCIS transfer cases to local offices...I am sure they never applied namecheck again...

But, in few individual scenarios, I have seen errors on the part of USCIS when they accidently submitted namecheck twice..once in 2003..and again in 2005...but, that's just error...and bound to happen to somebody or the other...once in a while...

This is good new indeed

Because FBI lost all(or some of them during certain time period) NC/SC requests from the USCIS. And USCIS is waiting that FBI will send the responses where as FBI will never send in the responses as they dont know the case details or something like that. Now USCIS realized this and sent another set of NC/SC requests. And most of these came back in no time. And that why we are going tuns of approvals from now on.

Hope every one with current priority date should see an approval in next few days.
Thanks

That's right!

Couple of days ago when i talked about my spouse case, the IO said NC is still pending, but after FP2 they will resubmit again.

Don't know if there will be a priority for these cases for the NC again!

No wonder. This is how FBI cleared 99% of cases in a month. If they do not clear it, it does not exist.

Hi va_lc_case,
So, this begs the question, what happens to the first name check request? Is that considered to be shelved now? I'm still pretty surprised that they requested name checks again. It seems very wasteful. I know that my name check was initiated in April 2006 and is still pending, so in my case, I don't believe that a second one was ever initiated. I also know that my wife's name check cleared in a few weeks and that there hasn't been a new request sent out for her either (at least thats the information provided by the TSC Congressional liaison office to my congressperson's constituent services director), as well as the letter I got from the FBI regarding my name check being "in process" and the request being rcvd in April of 06.
Moreover, if a second name check was requested, I guess that would make it the fine print to the CIS statement that the original filing dates for transferred cases shall be preserved. What guarantees does an applicant have that they won't get stuck in the second name check request, even if their first one has been cleared. Or perhaps did they send name checks for folks whose first request was pending. Jeez what a mess.
I hope that you're right about us with current priority dates being approved soon.
