Any 2008 DV winners from Iran???

Are you guys living inside or outside of Iran? I wonder if the issue more GC for the people which are already in the United States?

it wont matter much as long as the name check results comes back on time. my guess is that if you are in US and you have recently gone through visa renewals, you have had a security check because for the past few years ( i think 2 to 3 years ago) all the immigration benefits need to go through security check.

We are in iran now,we are waiting for interview or background check,as you security check takes 3 or 4 month.
 
Well, I'm from Iran :) and I've got the NL 26th of march !
Still filling the forms out and planning to send the forms 2nd of May

Good idea filling the forms quickly, but just fill them very carefully and write down all the truth. Don't lie at all even a white lie. If u have any questions I will be glad to help u.

An iranian winner.

Hi I am a 2008 winner from Iran:)
My case# is about 6900. (Any chance?):confused:
I am going to send the forms and the photos of mine and my wife.
What else should I do now?
Is it better to send them by DHL?
 
hi i'm from morocco i'm a dv winner 2008 too my case number is AF68xx
so you have to send dsp122 and ds 230 for u and your wife and a picture for u and your wife and a paper that they have send u wich contain a case number

And congratulations. I have to say your case number is slightly high! Last year it was current in july (As I remember!). But I think you have chance. At least more than who has AS13000!

Send the forms with DHL or TNT.

What should you do? be patient man! And seek for a sponser to fill form I-134 for you. An american citizen or a green card holder.

As there is no UPS in iran then no difference by what post servces send ur docs just choose the one u like to!

High case number

Hi all,

I am from Iran and live in the US with my family on work visa (My wife is student). A few days ago My wife got the NL from KCC. The problem is that the case number is so high (13XXX). Based on what I saw in the visa bulitin, I am convinced that we have no chance of doing successful AOS. My wife, however, insists that we should not give up. What Do you guys think?

I recieved NL recently and my case number is 2008AS00004xxx. I have a couple of questions and I appreciate if you kindly answer them.

1- what is my chance of getting GC?

2- Some people says I should send the application package (DS 230 and DS 122 and the photo) immediately. some other says I should send them in a special period. I am wondering which one is correct?

3- As I am from Iran, the post is specified as Ankara in the NL. But in item 4 of DS 122, it is asked for the name of consular office I would like to process my application. Am I free to choose other offices like Abu Dhabi? any thought?

Ankara is the only Iranian immigrant processing post in Turkey. Other Iranian immigrant processing posts are Vienna, Abu Dhabi, Frankfurt and Naples.

but ankara is the best for Iranian who live in Iran because the other country need visa which is not easy to get .
like for dubai you can only get 2 week visa easilly so KCC automatically sends your request to ankara ,but you can change it if you want ,all you have to do is to contact kentuky and let them know before your interview would be schaduled!

did your wife qualify under European participants? number that high is usually associated with EU citizens. she is right. dont give up. take it to the end and wait for the results. there are many people who win the NL and get through the screening process. but for so many reasons they get denials. so stay positive and go through the process

iranian nationals can be processed in Turkey, Dubai and cyprus

What is your chance? Go and get your tickets man!

Send them as soon as possible. But don't hurry, fill them carefully. There is no special period.

You can choose Abu dhabi, but if i was you, I wouldn't do that.People in Ankara are more kindhearted! It is possible that you lose some time too. Time is the golden factor! Remember this!
