What happens during a medical examination...

As per my thread title, can anyone who's "been there done that" tell me what exactly happened during the medical examination? I just looked up some info on the uscis site and it says "complete disrobing" am I going to get poked and probed or just stared at or what? Thanks in advance.

Nothing special, same as if you go to your doctor...you will have physical exam, blood test, TB test (skin) or Xray (chest), if you do not have a list of immunizations done in USA - then you will have also blood 'antibody' test and needed immunizations...

dont forget to insist for TB skin test (in the past doctor's used to skip it) but uscis sent rfe to get it done....which added atleast 2 months to the process...

What is skin test turns up positive?

I've received RFE, because the medical test does not show the results of skin test!!
I remember that my skin test used to show Positve, so i directly got the TB shots which we expected to cover as a result of positive test

Does nybody know what happens if the skin test turns up positive? What needs to be done in that case?

I reallt appreciate your views on this.
Thanks.

If the skin test is positive, then you have to send results of this test and x-ray.

don't look for any sense, just do it
these people doesn't have any knowledge in medicine, so they go by a checklist.
immunization - check
AIDS analyses - check
syphilis analyses -check
TB skin test - no? - RFE

some doctors may probe your ass with their fingers; that is the hardest part, particularly if they do it without gloves

Thank you Cmapocma!

It relieves me a bit. when there is a RFE, i loose patience to research and think right. This is where the forum is great help.

:D my friend just got hers done at the same doctor I am going to so I know that won't happen, but I appreciate the humor:D

BTW, is that were to happen, how does the no glove thing feel, please share your experience with us.

Thank you much, I appreciate the reply. I have some immunizations I've taken here before so I need to look those up.

Techy, thanks for the heads up, I'm definitely asking for the skin test.

You guys are great, even the bumloving guy (faysal) :D

Thanks for understanding. Humorous things aren’t supposed to have real experience. They are meant to be laughed at and moved on…so just move on

All jokes aside, if you are male a physical exam include inspecting and palpating your testicles.

I am not sure if females get their breast exams..

TB Skin Test

Me and my wife received an RFE for the TB Skin Test, the doctor asked us to skip it because we both where immunized for TB and it would show up positive, now it is a pain in the *** no clue how long i have to spend in this immigration mess.
The question is when i retake the TB skin test now should we take new X Ray's as well or i can use the old X Rays, I believe i read some where that the X Ray's are good only for 6 months. any suggestions welcome.

Hi there,
Even myself and my wife got RFE for TB Skin test and me for birth certificate also.
I initially planned to get only the skin test and X Ray done but then i went ahead and did complete physical exam again with fresh I-693 form done again.
I'm not sure if i did the right thing. Just sharing what i did.

Thanks for the reply guys, By the way the RFE also says that i need to submit a new 639 form, so most probably i would have to go through the same paper work with the doctor i believe, not only USCIS steals money (had to file two EAD's and AP's so far) other too.

Well, since my thread is still going, I guess I might just as well ask my question here. Those of you who had to take the x-rays, did you send the actual x-ray to the INS or was the doctor's check on that "x-ray taken" box enough? Thanks.

The only thing that goes is sealed envelope from doctor.
That does NOT contain any X-Ray, but it does contain a letter from X-Ray people that no trace of TB was found ( or TB non reactive...)
