Took oath of allegiance at Heritage Theater in Campbell today (4/18/07). There were a total of 429 new citizens from 48 different countries took oath at the 1:00pm ceremony. Since there are multiple ceremonies held over the entire day, there must've been thousands of new citizens today in the Bay Area alone.

Well, the ceremony itself was very well organized. It sure was very smooth and at no point did it feel like dragging by any stretch of imagination. As for me, I applied for voter registration right there.

For those who have recently started the naturalization process, in the middle of the process or those are almost in the verge of completion, good luck to you all. And also, good luck to those who haven't yet started the process but are planning on starting their naturalization process.

I will hang around to answer any question that I can. Feel free to PM me in case you don't feel like asking a question in public.

Congratulations!!! I am glad to see your long journey finally finished. I have read many of your posts patiently asnwering all questions. People like you, Boatbod, and a few others make this maze of dealing with USCIS a little less painful.

Once again Conratulations and HAVE FUN!!

I am happy for you.....

Congratulations! It was almost a year, but I am sure it was worth it. Thanks for wishing us luck :) Keep around.

Thanks Mario. Yes, it really does feel good. I realized it toward the middle of the ceremony when it dawned on me that this was really another chapter of my life starting today.

Yes Huracan, it's been just 4 days short of a 11 months. Wow, that's really a long time for naturalization process. But I enjoyed every bit of it. I am sure you will get your process completed faster than that.

Congrats Takadigi!

Great to see that your long immigration journey is over now... its been great to see you helping other folks on the forum. Hope you stay connected and continue the great thing that you have been doing.... It has been a pleasure to read your posts.

Now, the next step, to deal with another Govt. Agency as you apply and wait (very short though) for your Passport now....

Thanks koolvik7. Appreciate your kind words! My passport is being taken care of by CIBT, who are our corporate passport and visa processing agency. My passport is sponsored by the company I work for as my job does involve short travels across the globe. So, that is one less headache for me to personally worry about.
