Need to fill DS-156 & DS-157 online?

Hi everyone,

Is there a need to fill DS-156 & DS-157 online while we are booking the date for H1B stamping?

Can we simply skip both of them and just submit the petition details & book the appointment? If yes, then how can we skip filling them? And in that case, we will be filling them up manually only, right?

OR

We have to fill BOTH of the forms online & print them out and take a copy during interview?

The reason I am asking is that appointment schedule is released only for the next 30 days into the future.

Yea I am trying to book appointment for month of may. Just fed up of the questions that sometime are not to the point in many scenarios like the one I mentioned in my original query.

Looking forward to see some replies...plz guys let me know if you have any clue.
