Advice : F1_OPT to H-1B ( US Masters Quota)

I am working on OPT and can work till Sept 20th 2007. My employer applied on April 1st 2007 for my H1B under th 20K masters quota. Hopefully all will go fine and I will recd receipt comfrimation this week and will receive H1B w.e.f 1st Oct 2007.

My question is


Options
a) I am planning to get married in early July in India.Is there a risk to travel and return back by End of July 2007 into US?.

b)Should I remain in US till Sept 20th and then return to India for marriage in Oct-Nov'07?.

Any other ideas.

A) yes, there is a risk. Since you are on OPT and you can't be on H-1 no sooner than Oct 01 2007, you risk your chances of entering into the US.
B) If i were you, i won't return to India till i have the approved letter from INS stating, that i am in active h-1 status. Which probably means that your best chances of going to India is in October.

I agree. It is better you wait for your new H-1 status to be confirmed. But you should also consult an immigration attorney to discuss these matters in detail.
