Qustion about Affidavit of Support

Hello everyone!
I am new on this forum, but having read some of the posts and answers, I see it's a great forum, and I am so glad I came across it.
Can anyone answer my question? Or maybe somebody is in the same situation...
Me and my husband are going to file I-485 package but we have some questions about Affidavit of Support. The problem is that my husband changed his work a few months ago, he got his real estate license and now he is a real estate agent. The main issue is that he hasn't had any regular salary. In his previous job he had a regular salary and could show W2s. But what should we do in this situation? He owns a few properties, so these houses could be used as assets, and this would be well enough to support me. So we are going to present these assets, but do you think the IO will cause any problems about the lack of any permanent salary? Should we look for a joint sponsor?
Does anyone know the solution to this complicated situation?

Does anyone know what I should do in this situation? Please help me!

If he has enough assets it should not be a problem. Get tax records from back 3 years to support his ability to meet the financial requirement. If he has a solid bank account history, that would help. It shouldn't be a problem. Best wishes

Tough one. Did your husband filed taxes for 2006 yet? Do they meet the poverty line? Right now that is all you are actually required to give them. However you might want to be prepared to get a joint sponsor if they come back and ask for more proof.

If he owns houses however, he should be able to use those to prove assets I believe.

If he just changed jobs, then he would have w-2's for 2006 which is the year USCIS would be looking at. It seems the real estate thing just happened in 2007. That is why I am saying it should be ok either way, I believe.

Thank you guys so much for the responses. I started to doubt anyone would write back..
Well, my husband quit his previous job in August 2006, and started this real estate in November, so his tax return for 2006 won't turn out too well, and this real estate business still hasn't proved to be successful, but as I said we counted the value of his properties and it's well over 125% of poverty line, but I am just worried that the fact he hasn't had a regular salary may turn out to be a problem. So maybe apart from his I-864 I should get another sponsor and have him file his I-864? What do you think?

PS. I won't have access to the computer for the next 5 days but I will check if there are any responses as soon as I get from my trip! Thanks guys!
