If ur case transfered to NSC, u r either waiting for PD or NC clearance

agree. According to the posts in the forum, many cases transferred to NSC have already been cleared for NC.
simply wrong. They said "including cases pending security checks and with not current PD". The key word is "including", meaning everything is going to be transferred

If what you said were true, they should either say "all pending I-485 AoS applications are being transferred", or they could say "This also includes ...". Otherwise it is very ambiguous.

To my knowledge, there are still a large number of 485 cases (about 30% around my ND date) pending at CSC.

FYI, here's the whole message:

USCIS Transfers I-485s to NSC and TSC

AILA reports that in anticipation of the next phase of USCIS Service Center Bi-Specialization, I-485 adjustment of status applications are being transferred from the California Service Center (“CSC”) to the Nebraska Service Center (“NSC”), and from the Vermont Service Center (“VSC”) to the Texas Service Center (“TSC”). This includes cases that are subject to visa retrogression and security/background checks. Transfer notices will be sent and the USCIS online system will be updated when a transfer occurs. USCIS has confirmed that transferred cases will go into the queue based on original filing date and not the date of the transfer.

-From AILA InfoNet Doc. No. 07031263 (posted Mar. 12, 2007).

Let me make it straight about this.

"This includes cases that are subject to visa retrogression and security/background checks."

That deciphers that no matter whether your PD is current and your name check is cleared or not, all the cases will be transferred to NSC or TSC.

Another way to address this issue, all the cases in CSC and VSC will be transferred to NSC and TSC respectively, even includes visa retrogrssion and pending NC cases.

+1

BTW, ever saw unambigous statement coming from USCIS?

I agree with xyr888's interpretation on this.
My case is PD current and NC cleared. It got transferred to NSC and no news since then.

When was the last time someone saw an I485 approval from NSC??

last one on 09MAR07.
Btw, did anyone see any transfer for rd:2002? I`m still waiting.

Then how do you explain cases that are still not transferred and showing the following message at CSC: (as I said before, there are about 20-30% of all pending cases showing message like this, they have been pending there for almost 2 years)

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On XXX XX, XXXX, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.

This only means that the transferred cases INCLUDED cases that are pending PD or name check clearance. This does not mean that they transferred ALL the cases in that category.

what's your RD/ND?
Last year they transferred everything filed starting Jan. 2006. Now they are transferring cases filed earlier. probably they were planning initially to process them, but later decided not to. My case RD 11/05 was transferred today

that's precisely my point: not all are transferred. My initial guess was that those who are ready to be adjudicated remain in CSC (based on the news from AILA). But looks like I'm wrong on that. Maybe these ghost cases are already rejected? I only know their existence, but I don't know who's got them and what their fate is.

Anyway, I still think that the CIS' message is very ambiguous. Let me ask you an english question. Hypothetically, how would you put it if only cases pending PD and NC were transferred? In that case, the sentence "it includes xxx and yyy" would still be valid, wouldn't it?

Dragonhead: I dont think there is a clear way to know which cases are getting transferred. From what I see in this forum, its likely that they are transferring cases based on RD.

If they are only transferring PD/NC pending cases, they would have said something like "PD/NC pending cases are being transferred to NSC while the rest of the cases ready to be adjudicated will remain at CSC". That's just my opinion.

Hi Guys,

Transferring all the cases does not mean USCIS transfers all the cases on a specific day, e.g. CIS cannot transfer all cases on March 3, 2007.

A batch of cases was transferred in 2006.
A batch of cases was transferred in Feb. 2007.
A batch of cases was transferred in March. 2007.

Anyway, it does not mean much. It is nothing to do with PD or NC.

Has anybody who felt his NC is cleared and PD is current and was transferred to NSC got approved recently?

I'm asking because today I saw a couple of approved cases which are all staying in CSC. Now I'm more eager to know what type of cases remained in CSC.

A few people have received this 60 days letter and then got transferred to NE.

Where did you get these approval information? I am wondering if they are actually approved by CSC or NSC, since you can not tell just from the receipt number if they are transferred cases.

I think CSC might keep pre-adjudicated cases that are pending for NC only or RFE reply.
