No LUD on I-485 since the day I filed it - Is it normal?

Hello,

My case status online shows up the foll. -

"Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on March 18, 2005. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."

But here is the problem I had my FP done back in May 2005 - and there has'nt been any LUD on my I485 showing that FP was received. Whereas on my wife's I-485 case the status got changed showing that her FP was received. Is this normal? Or is there another thing that I should worry about? Please suggest.

I have the same problem

I also have the same problem but both me and wife never had an LUD change since we had our finger prints back in Oct 20th. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated.

Who is the principal, you or your wife? You may not read too much. There has had no reliable info yet.
 
Strange... LUDs and even status updates should have appeared by now, especially since the FP is already done, and perhaps an LUD for the name check... I hav no answer, but admit it's strange.
 
Now I am becoming more and more worried with every day that is passing by - Experts please suggest what should be done in my case scenario - where there has'nt been any LUDs since the RD of I-1485 (March 18th 2005). The FP were done back in May 2005. Will appreciate some input and suggestions on this.

How about an info pass apppointment

If possible, take an info pass appointment with the local office to speak with an immigration officer, and if you are lucky, the officer can tell you the correct status he sees in his computer. Usually they will give you what ever is the right status, and even you can ask them about the questions you have, like is your name check pending, or if you fp results came good, and why is my LUD not changing.

I live in Columbus, OH, and the lady officer in the local office is very good. She will even give me some encouraging words, like dont worry your case will be approved soon and etc.

If it is possible for you to go in person, try that. It may help you to clear your questions.
 
LUD stands for "Last Update Date". I am wondering should I be really worried about the LUD as I received my EAD after I got my FP done in May 2005 - and INS would'nt have approved my EAD unles and until I had FP done? Would really appreciate if there had been anyone else is in the same boat as I am and later had their I-485 approved?

Did you receive any update in your case. My case was filed on sep 11 2006. I am yet to see any LUD on my case. However I see ppl having filed after me got LUD. Please help me with your thoughts.

Patience is the key - I received my GC last year - see my signature for details.
