Please check the following link for the new visa bulletin for Oct 05

http://usembassy.state.gov/manila/wwwh3227.html

some people may find it hard to open it via IE. Firefox browser works fine.

link to download firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Basically IF its true, cutoff date for india is retrogressed by 6 years for EB2 and almost 7 years for EB3.

I hope and pray, its not truth. Check their sept bulletin, it matches with state dept bulletin.

Hope this will never happen, if it happens, we will be SOL.

Employment based catagory for India.

EB1 1-Aug-02
EB2 1-Nov-99
EB3 1-Jan-98

Do you mean there still hope that these dates would not be as far as posted? I wonder why even the worldwide category already retrgress which they predict it will be current until maybe December 05

hello every body

i am 100% agree with RJ_NJ2002. the visa bulletin you are seeing is for counsler proccess for interviews in Manila only. it has nothing to do with I-485 application. just wait couple of days for visa bulletin for oct. 2005.
good luck to all.

If you check their Sep bulletins, it is exactly as the one posted by the state department http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_2616.html

Looks like we are screwed.

Hi gogi274 & RJ_NJ2002, I wish what u said was true, but here is what the site says

==========================================================
Visa Interview Appointments

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) sends approved petitions to the State Department’s National Visa Center (NVC) where cases are held until an immigrant visa number is available. When the priority date of a visa petition is about to become current for processing, NVC will provide all the necessary information and application forms to start the immigrant visa application process.

NVC assigns a visa interview appointment once an applicant is documentarily qualified and forwards the case file to the Embassy in Manila for the applicant to complete the application process.

The following is a list of Immigrant and Fiance(e) visa cases that have been scheduled for a visa interview. Click here and check for your case number ( Acrobat Reader is needed to download). Press Control F and type your case number. If you have an interview date but no time is indicated on your appointment letter, you should plan to appear at the Embassy at 7:30 a.m. on the date of your appointment.

If you failed to show on your scheduled appointment, please contact us to reschedule your appointment.

The charts below list the cutoff dates for a particular month. Visa numbers are available only for applicants whose priority date is earlier than the cutoff date listed below. “C” means current, i.e., visa numbers are available for all qualified applicants, and “U” means unavailable.

Doesn't make sense. Why would a consulate have a separate cut-off date of its own.

Morevoer, if you read the whole text above the dates table, it talks specifically about lack of visa numbers and the need for cut-off dates for that reason.

Stop being in denial. Wish I had better news.

worst case they can be a few days off not 5 years off from 485

This looks true which is very painfull.[/QUOTE

It is very disheartening but it looks like its true. They have posted the information early in the site but for us bad news delivered early...

Labor delay, back log delay and Visa retrogress and whats next???

Looks real; but please be patient

Folks, this web page from Manila consulate looks real. But don't give up your breath, and hold down the fork. Nothing can be said until or unless state dept will post the same bulletin.

Impossible

Guys,
Hold on pls..We have to be real here . I can bet 100% .this information can not be true.

1) Very first information comes to state gov web site ...nobody else can get it
not even any other embassy in the world.
2) if you see all calculations. there are 140000 visa available every year for Employment based category. No LC ( or very few LC) is pending before 2000 or at least Apr 2001 ...how can it be possible to cut off date at 98. at the min..it must be around Apr 2001 for EB3.
4) Visa bulletin gives all information including family based cut off dates with future prediction. this URL doesn't give anything like that.

All information on that URL is fabricated with no basis and is being used to spread rumor and why this URL doesn't work IE ?

They can stop more fillings by those dates and clear the backlog

Hopefully you are right. It is wierd how this is the only page of the website that does not work with MSIE.

Hope this info is not correct. If it is, lets collectively say goodbye to any chance of getting a GC and make alternative plans.

Retrogression Site seems suspect?

Folks,

The link that posted the "so called October 2005 Visa Bulletin" is given below

http://usembassy.state.gov/manila/wwwh3227.html

The official website address of the US Embassy in Manila is

http://usembassy.state.gov/posts/rp1/wwwhmain.html

I scanned through this official site (btw it opens in IE) and do not find any folder there named "Manila". Moreover, the Immigrant Visa priority date link in this official website also points to the DOS Visa Bulletin page. The official site can be accessed from the DOS website under the link of Embassies.

Folks, I am not an IT guy, maybe you will be able to best understand this and make some meaning of the whole thing. If the other site cannot open in IE, then how come the official site opens in IE. Is this possible? Or could it be that the page was removed today in the Manila Embassy and the page correctly pointing to Sep 2005 visa bulletin!! Its a thought....

The October 2005 Website link looks Suspect?

Folks,

This is another link to the US Embassy in Manila.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/

I found this from this link....

http://www.state.gov/countries/

The earlier mentioned link was found under this link;

http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/embassies/embassies_1214.html

and is

http://usembassy.state.gov/posts/rp1/wwwhmain.html

Both links points to the same page and can be opened using IE.

Folks, please figure it out and enlighten non IT folks like us please.....
