Trying to verify this with the attorney.
The approval was recd at attorney's office on Dec-26th...they say the info was sent to my ciber ID...which I don't use at all...I checked & could not find anything there...:) Finally, on my persistent follow-up...I got the confirmation on jan-5th. Since then, pursuing I-140...maybe filed next week.
Any info on premium processing?

RIR Conversion

I talked to CIBER and the attorney last week to convert my case to RIR. It will be done this week. I have a question for you guys. Looks like cases are getting certified pretty quickly after requesting for conversion, just within couple of weeks. Is it after sending intent to BEC for conversion (which my attorney is going to do sometime next week... before Jan 20th) or after submitting recruitment results (after placing ads and conducting interviews)? How does it work and when should I expect to get my labor certified?
Thanks.

The approval comes thru based on the ad results that the attorney submits.
Still did not file 140...(-:...hopefully this week.

Hi,

I am glad that I found this thread.
I did my perm through Ciber and have a approved 140. I would like to take a transfer and work for a different branch. Has any one done this before? Does the GC application still remain valid.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

To my knowledge, CIBER files based on the HQ in CO...so, it looks like it should be ok...best, shoot an email to your attorney.
It'll help if you can keep us posted.

Hi ,
Does anyone know why CIBER prefers doing EB3 over Eb2 ?Is it advisable to
start GC process with them. They are charging $5000 for EB3.

Thanks in advance

It depends on job requirement they say !
I mean.. if your position does not require EB2 skills (most of the projects do not require), CIBER does not apply.

Hey sg72,
Keep a close watch on your labor...the moment it's approved...get your attorney to file concurrently for I-140 & 485...though not sure if concurrent filing is still valid. In case concurrent filing is not allowed...go for premium processing of 140 & in the meanwhile do the ground work for 485...its likely that dates may move a bit further for July...from August, they may retrogress (nothing can be predicted though...:)
Rgds.

Confused

Hi sg72,
Thanks for your reply .Whats your advice on starting labor with CIBER.
Do they just drag the process to keep us there.I think my only option now
is thro PERM.Should I switch jobs before applying for green card .?
I have 2 years left in my H1B and have not started GC process so far.

How much should we pay for labor cert ?

Guys please advise me as I am in confusion.

Thanks

Firstly, the rules are changing & hence, you need to keep a watch on them.
Now, PERM is the only way to file labor. The issue will be EB2/3.
Not sure whats the way things are currently, but, from my personal exp...CIBER did not drag it...just that they permitted filing in EB3 & hence things just dragged as per the rules...:)
We had to select an attorney from the list & then go along all the way. There wasn't any choice regarding payment...all GC cost was our's. So, whatever the attorney says, you'll have to pay. So, before decidng the attorney...check the cost with each one on the list & then decide.

I would say, go ahead with initiating your gc...in the worst case, you'll have to forgo it. But, till the time you're with them, things will keep moving.
Goodluck.

Hi Sri2007,
lfgc answered all your questions.
I got my labor certified yesterday (Online status). Waiting for original documents to file 140/485 concurrently. Going for medical exams sometime this week and I already submitted all paperwork (draft) to attorney. I want them to file it before June 30th.
