January 2004 - Visa Revalidation Tracking

hi gc_come_to_papa and Bash,

How do you convince those guys to tell you all this information? I called DC office twice and both the times they told me that they don't provide any status check about visa revalidation. Can you please advice me how to talk with them to get information about my passport? Also the lawyer who has sent my file for revalidation has not stored any tracking number of fedfex for my file. what can i do about that?

My name is BaSh, I submitted my revalidation application in January. till I did not get my passport can you please let me know the status of the visa or my passport received or not. I am little worried, I don't have any idea when it will come. I have plans to visit my country in May.

When I called today the rep. told me they approved my visa today and in printing....

4 weeks back also same and last week also same message...

How to belive these people....

Any one pending still Jamuary cases....

Hi appan,

If your company filed your Green Card then you are fine with the answer.

Else your statement is wrong.

I am not sure what are the problems while revalidation.

If they are not checked any thing on that status then you are fine.

Don't worry. Some time it will come.

just checked the status on fedex web site it has been picked up fy fedex today at 1:30 p.m , expected delievery is monday, will post details on the forum.

When generally u call to inquire about your passport status? I tried calling numer of times and all the time they denied to give me any status. I tried talking exactly the way Bash mentioned but still no luck.Any feedback?

i tell them my pp were send in jan 2nd wek haven't received them yet , i am worried they may have got lots, can you pls confirm if you have them, the customer care reps do some nakhras but then i insist that i am not asking for status update but worried as it's more than 15 weeks now and your web site say 10-12 weeks, normally i get an update then, i call around 1:00 p.m est and have been succesfull all the time.

Hi ,

I am trying to figure out the reason for all of us who sent application earlier than other people and still didn't get it back. In my case, I didn't send the form with barcode. I did send the feb2003 version but with space for barcode sticker. Did any one use that form? I'm wondering that is it because of that reason only BCIS took a while to load data in the system.

This Visa Revalidation in US also a very stupid thing....They are not giving exact answers...for some reason.

If you submit your application after 12 weeks you are not received it, they are not responsible.

They are asking us to withdraw the application, go back to our country and get it there !!!..:confused: after eating our money they are saying this words. This is almost 12 weeks, long time back they told me our visa is issued and in print Q, tilldate not received.

I don't have any idea why they are doing keeping the passports under their Butts....!!!

The issue of visa will not take 1 week, if they do it promptly.

Yes! Its getting quite ridiculous!


Last time I applied, they sent it back for a simple reason that, employment-letter was addressed to 'To Whom It Might Concern' instead of 'Dept of State'.

Time taken: 100days for rejection; 10days for resending; 10days for approval = 120 days

This time we applied, they sent it back for another simple reason that, I put native-country-address instead of current-address in one of the columns; everywhere on the form, my US address was repeated atleast 3 times.

Time taken: 70days for rejection; 10days for resending; 20days for approval = 100 days
