nope..thats not valid..i read info about this in one of the threads in the I-140 section
Indira,i think you should inquire about your case.. all the Oct cases and most of Nov RIR cases from Michigan or wherever have already been approved..especially many Oct ones were completed in Jan itself..am in MI myself and i know this from friends and colleagues whose cases were beyond your PD

Wrong address on Labor Certificate

I just got LC approved.
But found my address on the paper is not a valid one. I think it maybe our company's HR gave a wrong one to the lawyer. (The street name is not correct. Steer number, Apt# , city are all correct)

Is this an issue down the road? If yes, can I fix it?
:( :( :( :( :( :( :(

This is insane

I called the Chicago DOL and the lady said they are processing
RIR :OCTOBER 2003 .
Few days back she had told me it was NOV,2003 .

Looks like they are going backward .....

Will they ever reach Dec 2003/Jan 2004.....

Hi bamboo123,

Hi Seabird

Incase of Remand to Employer the Letter from DOL advice you to place your Retesting Ad in a particular Newspaper and on Particular day ( mostly Sunday)
Yes you may change your Experience but CANNOT change your Job Description , etc. Must be more Elaborate Experience for the Job if you want. refer to this Link for more Information : http://www.visanow.com/immigration_visa_information/visanownewsletter/2003/06/default12_2003.asp

But Dont worry Friend , its not end of the road , remand To Employer cases are getting Approved after careful approach.
Good Luck

My lawyer checked with the anlayst, who got assigned to the case. Since she was vacation for some time, she is lagging behind everyone else. There are no apparent problems. He was told that the case just has not even been worked on.

Fed Labor - How does it look?

Hi Guys,

Could anybody tell me how the Fed Labor Document looks?(The Doc you get after getting certified from the Federal Labor ) .One of my friend has processed thru an Indian Company and he got the Fed Doc.He had some concerns on the document.

You could just tell something like :-

1)Whether it had Labor Dept Seal ?
2)Whether it was signed at the bottom ?.
3)Just some key things thats all

Thanks so much,
Longshot

Thanks for posting.
How do you get this information? Did you check AVM with each seperate case N?

Re: Re: For those in waiting....

Yes !!!! (can you believe that ?)

unfortunately, I can't check all of 'em.
If we can get 3-4 volunteers, can actually track all the cases and know what's going on at DOL on a day to day basis.
I believe, most of us have cell phones with week end and/or night free calling, so it's a matter of time.

any volunteers here ???

Re: Count me in!!!

Ahh... we got one.. Great !

The procedure is pretty simple:

Dial: (312) -353-1059
Select 1 for Permanent cases
Select 1 to check by Case #
Punch in case # ( e.g. XX29002)
Make a note of the case "Status" and "dates"
Press 2 for next case
Enter the case #
and so on.......

I am assuming, you know, what XX is, in the case #.

I was thinking of posting the details in excel sheet, not sure if that could be a space and bandwidth issue, though.

Thanks and let me know if you have any Qs.

Anybody else here as any suggesions/ideas ?

-Al

I have a follow up file

Alvin,

Surprise! I was also doing that randon followup! I have the results in the Excel file and I have attached the same here.

Some facts about this file:

1) I was always interested in finding out what was the last case number they had updated in AVM. So it is not continuous running numbers.
2) Off late, I was working on finding the latest cases only. so some cases in the earlier dates I have not updated the correct status.

Couple of suggestions:

1) Since copying the results on to the post directly would make all of us to scroll through the result a lot
2) We can take turns and update the files and
3) most importantly, instead of we doing the random followups, if all the forum users in this thread can put in their cases and status that would give us a lot more information.

Please drop in your suggestions.

Thanks,
Udai

Here is the Excel file:

Case #

Hello,

My LC was forwarded to Chicago DOL from Iowa SESA but according to my lawyer there was no case # on the notice from the Iowa SESA. Is it typical? Is there a way to find out one's case #?

Thanks,

Also could you post all ur details, like which state SESA do you belong to? dates ..etc, please!!

I belongs to NE SESA. I forgot my detailed Priority date at DOL. But maybe early Dec of 2003. I get approved on 3/28/2004

Thanks.

Re: I have a follow up file

What can I say, other than "Great people think alike" :)
on a serious note, Let's do this as a group instead of on an individual basis to get the most out of our efforts.

Let's divide up the work to avoid duplication. We are three right now, let each one of us complete the 1st 300 (100 each) and then will move to the next 100s. In the mean time, if we get more volunteers, he/she can start working on the next 100.
How does that sound ?

labor remanded to state

Hi

My labor was filed from Iowa state in July 2003. On 04/02/2004 my case was remanded to state from Chicago DOL.

Attroney is telling me that

"they have received a letter from the State giving us instructions on placing additional advertisements"

I would like to know:
- What is the process involved from here?
- How much time are we talking in the various steps?

Akshar,

Whats up with your case. Did you hear back from DOL.

DOL RCVD ADTE??

MAN 123,
Please write down your DOL Chicago, Rcvd date, So all of us knows which date DOL are processing?

Thank u
