You don't need passport pictures
You don't need bio-data page of your passport
You don't need drivers licenses
You don't need form 325A and G28
You don't need SS Card
You don't need marriage license

Everything else is good.
I would definitely add proof of travel together (boarding passes, e-tickets receipts), of course if there has been any travel together.

No need SS card and bio-data page of passport

RE: checklist for my I -751 (pls advise)

I am also including my pay stubs for the last 12 months. (1 year)

My list

I think you have more than enough.

Here is my list

Tax returns - 2006, 2007
Bank stmt
Electricity bills
Phone bills
A bit of stocks and bonds
Health Insurance
Renters insurance
Credit card bills
Cards from family and friends
Affidavit from 4 friends notarized
Other junk mail showing spouse's name and address only

This is all I have.

You can't have too much evidence, don't let people scare you into thinking you sent too much. It clearly states on the instruction to send as much as you want.

And I also don't think there is a "right" or "wrong" set of things to send. Every couple is different. I keep reading that people send in proof of travel. My wife and I have been on 20+ trips since we've been married. But I don't have any receipts, I never would have thought to keep boarding passes or hotel bills. That stuff gets shredded as soon as I'm home.

People get too caught up in the details. Just put yourself in the shoes of someone looking at your evidence having never met you. Do you think he/she will see your documents and think you are indeed legitimately married or not? If the answer is yes, then send it. If the answer is no, then modify what you're sending.

I do find it funny how you think your stimulus check is junk mail though. Not sure if you meant it like that or not, but I agree. That piece of legislation and the $150B (along with the rest of the hundreds of billions wasted by the govt) is indeed junk.

folks, one last question. MUST the affidavit from friends be notorized?

i had all of my affidavits notarized per advice from my attorney, just to give it a bit more legibilty i guess, doestn hurt, just do it.
In general, as everyone stated you have ton of good documentation, make copies, organize everything and be patient.

Hi there!

Since this is the Oct 2008 filing thread for I-751, and I am about to send out my package soon, I have a question. I am not taking any help from my lawyer(who had helped us process our previous petition for adjustment) as she is now asking for 3k for the process.

Anyway, I have almost everything in place for filing, a few questions though -
1. my conditional residency expire Feb 4th 2009, and I plan on mailing the package on Friday Oct 31st 2008 - would this be ok, or be ahead of time. Or should I wait another 5 days or so. Dont want my application returned.

2. what receipt/notice is that authorizes us to continue employment, or is this a separate appplication form?

Thanks and appreciate your help!

OK - so here is my list of documents and reading some posts I am thinking this is sufficient - but just in case I am forgetting anything, please let me know :)
