AUGUST - Visa revalidation tracking

Hi Sanjib,
Did the visa officer tell when the visa was 'processed".

'Processed' means that the visa has been approved.AFter this,your passport would be sent to the printing department and there they would stamp hte visa on your passport and the date they satmp the visa is the date of issue of the visa.

After printing the passport would go to the mail room and be picked up by Fedex or USPS.

Hi guys !!

I Called DC office this morning. Visa officer told me that my passport is approved and has been send for printing. She told me you should receive it in couple of weeks :-(It should be couple of days I guess. Anyway, lets wait and watch.)

Issue Date: ?????(waiting for printing)
Received date: ???? (Not yet)

Hope thats what it is.
No she did not say when it was approved.Actually after facing a unhelpful rep last week, my first line was "I have been waiting for 4 months" and the rep was "4months????" and gave me the info about it being in the "processed " status.
Good luck to every body else waiting.

Passport Received with visa stamp

I have received my passport today

SL Date: 8/26/2003
DC Date: 9/28/2003
Visa Approved: 12/15/2003
Visa Stamped : 12/17/2003

Received by FedEx today at 8:50AM PT.

This board has been very helpful. I am leaving to India on 12/24/2003.

Wrong Stamping

Received Today @ home : Dec 18th

Please note that I sent in 3 passports to SL , My wifes(H1),My Son(H4), Mine (H1). I have received all the passport this morning via FedEx and with a H4 on my Wifes Passport, Please let me know what needs to be done ? I am about to call DC.

All , help would be highly appreciated.

Wrong stamping

If you have asked for H1 for your wife and you mentioned the same in DS 156, then you should send it to DC get H1. Explain the situation clearly in a cover letter. DoS should then correct appropraite stamping.
 
Wrong Stamping on Wife/Son Passport

Hi Guys,

I checked the Website and learnt that the Passport(s) could be sent to DC office for re-stamping for the mistaken H4 (Wife, supposed to have a H1 Stamp -- takes 5 working days for re-stamping per the website).

My Son -- has H4 from My Wifes' H1 but now on this occasion, he too has received Visa-stamp on Passport with H4 under my H1(meaning, H4 with my company name)

The question -- > Should his passport be sent alongwith my Wife's passport for correction so that his passport would reflect the H4 under my Wifes H1 ??

Please let me know, All information is greatly appreciated.

wait continues

Called up this morning.. she said my visa was approved on Dec 15 but waiting in queue for printing. And she can't give tentative date for printing and shipping... so the wait continues still...

DC Date: Sep 29 (or 28)
App Date: Dec 15
Not yet printed.
 
Hi

Yesterday we called to DOS, the lady said that they were still processing 28th cases and this time surprisingly our dc dates were changed. Mine (h4) and my husband's (h1) was recieved on the same date which is 29th. Earlier (one month back) she told that my husband's h1 was recieved on 28th and mine was recieved on 29th ..............
I doesn't understand what was going on there....................

If I hear anything from them I keep u posted.....

Correction

Hi friends,

I sent my wifes passort back to DC today by FedEx.Spoke with the folks @ DC and learnt that it takes 7-14 days to make the correction from H4 -- > H1 on my wifes passport(supposed to be a priority).They have acknowledged the mistake.Hopefully, should receive the passport back by Jan 6 - 13th 2004.

Visa approved

My visa has been approved today and the lady said that I am gonna recieve my passport in 10 days b'coz of the holidays...

just an update. everything looks right on the stamping and only one of the 2 prev visas "cancelled without prejudice".
