Hey Guys, I am sorry if its too dumb a question... I am on H1-B. What is H1 revalidation and what documents do you need to send and where? Some of the posts indicate that in the worst case scenario you get a reply in 2 weeks..

DC RD : ? (It takes more than 10 days it seems to go from St. Luis to DC.)

DC Date ???

I contacted DC Office today. They are not disclosing DC receive date. I do not know why. Has anybody tried? Please update.

DC - DATE

Is that a must that we should know the DC Date? I called DC office once; the visa officer refused to disclose the date. Is that an information that should not be communicated? One of my friend has sent his application on July 23. His application has not been received in DC office yet. They are saying that his application could be still in transit. What is happening in St. Luis? Do they take this much time? I looked at the May tracking. The gap between St. Luis and DC office is less than 10 days for most of the cases.

Please post your replies if you have any experience or thought. It is very much appreciated.

I called DC office

Guys,

Yesterday, I called DC office of the state dept. to see if my H-1b revalidation application has reached their office. My Saint Louis receipt date is August 4th, 2003. After giving her my passport number I was told that she cannot find my case in the system. She said it could still be in the mailroom (DC) or Saint Louis may have not send it to them. She said wait until middle of the next week and call DC office again.

I was expecting my file to be there by now, but I was wrong. I will be lucky if I get it done before December. All my travel plans are doomed.

I might get my Advance Parole before they revalidate my visa, but these dummies have my possport.

How long it takes to get to DC office?

SL to DC transit days

I think, we should not worry about that. One of my friend who sent his application in the last week of July called DC office. They first asked his SL date. If SL date is within one month, they are not saying anything. I think, they are loading the data only after two months. In between, if you call, you won't get any information. Wait for two and half month, then you call. It is just my guess only.

Hi Guys,

I called DC office today, after 30 mins waiting, they are not ready to check the DC received date. She said, it will take 2 weeks to receive from SL.

Did anybody called recently?
