Anyone filed/submitted I-485 after July 5th thru Aug 17th, 2007 - Update Here!!

My application is not an employment based one. It is a family based one. B2 married to USC.

Oh good for you, you should be receiving your GC a heck of a lot faster than most of us here. Do people get stuck in name check even at the family level, or do they process those cases faster?

My wife got FP appointment so i tag along with her today and i asked supervisor about my FP appointment. He checked my paper (i485 Receipt) and let me do FP........

Thank you

It normally takes 2-3 working days to get the card. Some people even get it in 1.

You should get it today or if not for sure by tomorrow.

:)

Thanks nanoboy01 for making me feel a little bit better :)

It had already passed 4 days since the approval notice was sent(oct.27th)....do you think the date oct. 27th, that was Saturday...has something to do with the delay of the shipping process?(postal office is not working on Sunday)

Thanks again for your encouragement.

Well since it was Saturday(1), it means that you would leave out Sunday and start on Monday(2), Tuesday(3), Wednesday(4), Thursday(5). It should be there by Thursday!

:)

CRIS database updates recently?

Anybody sees delays in USCIS website updates? I still cannot access my I-131 and I-485 online receipts online. It cannot find them.

I went in for my FP on the 29th. I checked case status that night online, and it said it was updated on Oct 29, but didn't give any reasoning. Naturally I assumed it was just the fingerprinting that triggered the update.

The next day, on the 30th, I checked it again and it was updated once again without an explanation. Is this normal?

tennis_court, thanks for your reply. I did get all receipts for me, now. But none for my son. I may call tomorrow. as today is teh 90th day.

Any other suggestions?

To give you my timeline:

I cannot tell you whether it's normal, but the same happened in my case too. 2 LUDs in consecutive days after FP. In addition, I know few friends who had the exact same experience - 2 LUDs back to back in 2 days.

Congratulations! I think you can apply for SSN right away. I think you can find instructions in a lot of places like: http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/10002.html#how. This is the easy part :). I think I got my SSN in about a week if I remember correctly. I did this about 10 years ago.

However, you can probably start working right away.

Good luck and keep us posted....
