Hi All I got my GC last July and started job hunting a month back. I have got a pretty good job offer which is difficult to pass and so I am contemplating taking it up. I will be joining next month, which will be 9 months since I received my GC in hand. Are there any risks/complications...

hold tight, every time this goes in a pattern, first TSC has a flood of approvals, then that ceases and NSC floodgates open :D , so NSC should be seeing lot of approvals soon...

Is this ur first FP? If not then its fine, since many of us didn't receive any status updates after 2nd FP..

vijay no stamp needed, and infact they have stopped doing it if you have already received GC. You can go to your local SSN office and get your card changed from "restricted" to "unrestricted"..

jack sorry for the confusion if any, the approval notice is not really a 797 notice, it is simply that piece of paper which says ur GC is approved and the cards are attached to it..like a new credit card...so u r good there..with the welcome notice, approval notice paper and the actual card...

yes...infact in RFE EVL too..basically EVL wrote the true salary, which is about 10K higher... And no it wasnt an issue since we got GCs approved....as per my attorney, getting paid higher than the PW is never an issue..

We received our GCs yesterday in the mail. Since my wife's Indian passport had her maiden first and last name, her SSN card, visa, every possible legal document including DL and license has than name. Fearing that changing the last name during GC process might re-start the god forsaken FBI name...

I dont think it is an issue unless the date is really off, like for a few people their resident since date is printed as labor filing date which is a typo and needs to be corrected. Also the way NSC is processing so many cases right now in a bulk, it very well could be that your case was...
