Well guys - after a long and stressfull journey - our plastic cards arrived today ( also within the last two weeks co-incidentally I got our daughter's US passport - she is only 13 months and was born here - she doesn't realise yet how easy she's had it -but I'll be sure to let her know in the...
arrived today - no more INS till 2014 !!!!! Wow !! - well maybe not - hubby will probably go for citizenship - I have EC passport and no real motivation to change - so its 2014 for me
on line message changed to card ordered - 3 weeks after passport stamping . Was beginning to think we were one of the unlucky ones would spend the next 10 years doing annual passport stamping . Hope card will follow.
I posted my experience re this subject a few weeks ago - some good info - but don't have time to re type all here - do search under passport stamping or my posts
good luck

wac 02 068 - I sympathise - we only just got ours - also more than two years of waiting -we're wac 02 061 - so actually only a few days apart in terms of original application - I agree stamping is nothing compared to that agonizing wait - but we did have to wait with two kids under 5 for about 4...
sorry - can't answer your question - but I'll be in the same boat in April so I am wondering - how long have you been waiting for plastic card - I was hoping mine would be here by then and have heard some people on this forum got them in 1-2 weeks after stamping.
cool - glad to hear someone benefitted. Let me know when you get plastic card - some people said they got theirs in 1-2 weeks - its been 2 weeks since I went but online message still same
My internet message still says " case approved on ......., - will the status on internet be changed to card sent or something or will they just arrive in the mail one day.
We did passport stamping on 1/14/04
thanks

100 % sure - he even had to do it a second time because when the officer told him to lift his finger he didn't do it right away and the print smudged. I would appreciate the info if it is illegal - though I am not sure what exactly I could do with it - sue BCIS ??
I agree with you guys - none of it is fair - and most people on this website are lucky in that their sponsoring companys paid for the legal fees, h1bs etc - we've paid for everything from h1b's to photos ( a zillion times) to I-140 medicals which were really expensive , chest x rays , some more...
I think the letter stated the photos had to have been taken in the past 30 days - if you haven't changed much I suppose you could use old ones - but to be honest - when you've waited 4 years for this (in our case) and spent nearly $ 15 000 out of pocket on immigration lawyers and INS fees ...
silly man is right - gc is very liberating - but now its all up to you - and that can be scary. Up to now you can blame anything on lack of green card - now you are a part of the free world and your success or lack thereof is dependent on one thing only - that is YOU. Best of luck - I'm in...
Yes - you have to hand them all in ( expired ead's etc) - although they looked at some and gave them back. Just have them all on you just in case - they took our expired ap's.
DEFINITELY every one go straight to the appointment line.
They open the doors at 7 am - I think if you go...
The big day arrived - we got to San Jose INS on Monterrey rd at 6.30 am per the experiences of others in this forum. Our hearts sank when we saw how many people were in line already - at least 30 or 40. By 6.50 a guard came out and " read the riot act" regarding sharp objects , cameras, cell...
