Oath Ceremony took place last Thursday -- my hubby is a US Citizen at last!! We left immediately after the ceremony and took a long weekend away just to celebrate. Now we're going to South Africa so I can see where he came from and I can't wait!
Rec'd yellow letter telling hubby to bring his driver's license and arrest records to his interview. They already have all of the original police and court records so I guess we'll just take some extra copies in case they don't have them/can't find them??
Fingerprints were done yesterday. We were so surprised that we weren't there very long, in and out in less than 30 minutes. I didn't know that any government office could work that fast!
Wow! That IS fast! Our IO told us at the end of our interview that we were approved but we didn't get the I-485 update until 13 days AFTER the interview. CONGRATS!! :)
We filed our AOS just a couple of months after you and I've watched your posts (among others) all this time. You've been completely through the process and are able to give information based on actual experience with the system.

So we filed the I-90 to correct the typo and were told by...
I don't think its the same for everyone, but our IO told us at the conclusion of our interview that we were approved and she stamped her "approved" stamp on our documents.
Good Luck! :)
On the advice of our lawyer, we just wore casual clothes (not jeans and t-shirts but nice slacks/pants and shirt).
I know how you feel about the stress. I didn't sleep at all the night before our interview. And I was more nervous than hubby was until the whole thing was finally over...
We just renewed my hubby's expired British passport last December by FedEx through the British Embassy in Washington, DC. The whole thing took about a week from the time we sent it to the day the new passport arrived. Very easy and we got all of the forms and instructions from the same website...
We got an LUD stating "Approval Notice Sent" and the same message by email 5 days after we got the "Card Production Ordered" update. The actual GC arrived 2 days after the "Approval Notice Sent" update. Our big disappointment was that there was a typo on the card and we've had to send it back...
